We give our artisans the opportunity to earn a fair wage, to have accessible, comfortable working conditions and democratic working relationships. We want to build long term relationships with our customers as well, through quality assurance in our products and after sales service.

At Reaching Out we do not focus on the abilities that our craftspeople may lack, but instead on the skills and talents which they do have. Through awareness and training we are able to develop their unique aptitudes. Our environment encourages artistic expression and creativity and every team member is empowered to participate fully in our design innovation.

Integration
Our workplace is integrated, with all of our team, able bodied and those with disabilities having equal opportunity and acceptance.
We encourage our team members to integrate in their neighborhoods and we hope to exemplify to a broader society and across Vietnam that integration of differently abled people builds strong families, work places and communities.
We believe that involvement and self responsibility are healthier than isolation. A potted plant needs constant care, but growing in its natural environment it prospers; so too with our independent and fulfilled employees. We believe that it is possible to break the cycle of poverty and dependence.
We do not rely on donations, but instead rely on our own ingenuity and our fully integrated team to succeed.

At Reaching Out our people have a breadth of skill, ability and talent. Each is highly valued and recognized. By partnering, a mobility impaired craftsperson and a hearing impaired person can complete some tasks as successfully as an able bodied person.
Our Team Leaders seek input from their team members on all anticipated changes and we share the responsibility and rewards for our successes. We work together to overcome our challenges.
